Police name man charged with Preston city centre rape as he appears in court
Ermal Sulaj, of no fixed address, is accused of raping a person in Preston city centre. The 31-year-old was arrested on Wednesday following an appeal by Lancashire Constabulary.
Detectives say he has now been charged with rape and sexual assault. He is due to appear before Preston Magistrates Court today .A police force spokesperson said: "Lancashire Police asked for the public's help in identifying a man following a sexual assault in Anchor Court in Preston city centre on December 18. To update you, a 31-year-old man was arrested yesterday and has now been charged with rape and sexual assault.
"Ermal Sulaj, of no fixed address, is due to appear before Preston Magistrates Court today . Thank you to everyone who helped and shared our appeal."
