Police spotted a car matching the description and arrested a 33-year-old man for public order offences
A man has been after reports that women and girls were 'approached or watched' by a driver in Preston.
Officers said the man was seen to be driving a black car. Last night , police spotted a car matching the description on London Road. After being pursued, the car was stopped on Lightfoot Lane. A 33-year-old man is currently in custody after being arrested for driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, theft of a car, burglary and section 4 public order offences intending to alarm, harass or distress.
"That was in connection with a number of reports we had received from women and girls being approached by a man or watched by him, in the Cottam and Ingol area over the last few days. Incidents had been reported to us between December 31 and January 3, with the suspect driving a black car.
