Madeira was last seen in his Oakwood-Vaughan neighbourhood, out for a regular walk. His family says he may have been experiencing memory loss.
It’s been nearly two weeks since Antonio Madeira, 76, was last seen in his Oakwood-Vaughan neighbourhood, out for a regular walk — hands clasped behind his back, moving at a leisurely pace with a characteristic limp.
“He’s known there to residents so this is obviously very concerning ... there’s been a heat wave, storms.”Madeira told reporters that doctors suspect his father may have early onset dementia, but he has not yet been diagnosed. It’s possible, Madeira said, that he was experiencing memory loss and other symptoms when he went out for his walk.
The quiet Madeira is five-foot-five, 150 pounds, with short white hair, a white beard and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket, khaki pants, sneakers and a multi-coloured hat.
