He thought he was meeting a 13-year-old girl - he was wrong
Lee Terrell, 36, thought he was talking to 'Izzy', 13, and 'Poppy', 13, during sex chats on Kik Messenger between March and June 2022. Terrell set up profiles with the usernames 'Cheatinghusband' and 'Boywithbigtoy1986' to start sex chats on the application.
During the conversations, Terrell, of Rome Avenue, Burnley, asked the ages of the girls he believed he was talking to. He did not realise that behind the profiles sat undercover officers, who were patrolling the platform to catch sexual predators. "He described himself as a nonce during the interview", Mr McEntee said. "He put his behaviour down to the fact he had been having a hard time and had taken excessive drugs over an extended period."
