BREAKING: Person found dead on tracks leaving train lines between Lancaster and Oxenholme closed
Rail passengers travelling to the Lake District are being warned to expect major delays today after a person was found dead the tracks of a train station.
All trains lines are currently closed between Lancaster and the Lake District station and are set to remain closed until at least 12.45pm. Rail replacement coaches are in operation from Oxenholme Lake District in both directions until further notice, National Rail has confirmed.A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Oxenholme railway station at 9.10am on 26 June following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
