\According to Cairo24, the South African forward, 30, rejected the club’s attempt to sell him and instead requested to have his contract terminated, seeking the full remaining value of $600,000 (#R11.3 million). \However, after negotiations, a lower payout of $500,000 (#R9.4 million) was reportedly agreed upon, allowing Tau to depart. Meanwhile, Chiefs recently held the club’s annual awards for youth teams.
