The hack has sent social media users into a frenzy by how well it works
TikTok users have been left in complete awe by a hack that sees a woman only using a wooden spoon to open stubborn jars. It is something many people will have experienced - standing in the kitchen and hopelessly trying to open a stiff jar.
Speaking to host Claudia Winkleman on a recent episode of BBC Radio 2, Texas frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri explained all, leaving viewers stunned by the trick she shared. "You take the jar, I really struggle getting jars open, take a wooden spoon, and smack the rim at the side once, and the jar goes ‘pop!’ and it just opens." She said.
Users who had watched the clip and tried it for themselves took to the comments section to explain how they got on. Annabel Calzada said: "I did it the other day and it did work nicely." Others users said they had tried a different method to opening difficult jars. Dawesome wrote: "I do it with the handle of a butter knife." Lily Smith said: "I knock it against the worktop."
