A man has been mocked after sharing a photo of a £25 fry up he bought at a Sofitel hotel. People on X were quick to point out what was wrong with the meal and the price
Stephen R Power took to social media to share an image of the fry-up he purchased at a Sofitel hotel, displaying sausages, hash browns, bacon, tomato, beans, alongside some unconventional inclusions – sliced bread and raw mixed peppers.
Accompanying his visual gripe, he queried: "Tell me what's wrong with this fry-up that cost £25?" Social media users were quick to voice their opinions. One individual noted five flaws: "The price, the peppers, no eggs, no mushrooms, no black pudding."A third contributed: "No eggs. No mushrooms.
In a twist of social media camaraderie, commenters began to showcase photos of far more reasonably priced fry-ups they had enjoyed, with one user boasting about a bountiful £5 fry-up featuring two sausages, bacon, two hash browns, a fried egg, beans, mushrooms, and two slices of buttered toast. In a separate but related comment, another individual recalled their experience at the Shard a decade ago, where they were charged "£35 for a full English."
