The encounter was reported Sept. 28 at Oregon Expressway and Middlefield Road.
PALO ALTO – Authorities are searching for a motorist who allegedly pointed a handgun at another motorist and threatened to shoot him during a road-rage incident last week in Palo Alto.
The victim, a man in his 30s, told police he had been driving northbound on Highway 101 when he first spotted the suspect vehicle, a white Chevrolet SUV. He said the SUV was swerving in and out of lanes and he had to move out of the way to avoid a collision. The driver of the SUV, a female, and her passenger, a male, stepped out onto the roadway. The SUV driver then pointed a handgun at the victim and said she was going to shoot him, police said.
