According to the report, Cantell was a passenger in a vehicle when shots were fired at a rival gang member’s home in January 2019, and he passed the gun to an associate. Police were notified, and followed him out of the community. After the vehicle hit a spike belt, it struck two police vehicles and nearly hit two officers who were outside their vehicles. Police stopped the fleeing vehicle by hitting it.
