The opportunity to compete in this selection camp is not lost on Hustler, who recorded 12 goals and 28 points in 37 games in her rookie season playing NCAA Division 1 hockey with St. Lawrence University in upstate New York.

The camp features athletes competing for spots on the national women’s team, national development team and national under-18 club. “I had a good year at school, but it’s being able to compete against some of the best players in the country, and some of the older girls that you sort of look up to when you are younger. It will be very special to get a chance to work alongside and see what they do to stay at the top.”Hustler and MacEachern, who is from Canoe Cove, are eligible for the national women’s and development teams.

“Also, I just want to learn as much as I can because I am playing with older girls, so just be a sponge. There is also a great staff out there for camp, so learning everything I can to improve my game is my goal.”
