Victim assistance was requested for two adults after a fire on Champneuf Drive in Orléans Monday afternoon, Ottawa Fire Services said.

The first crew arrived at the fire four minutes after they were dispatched and launched a “fast attack.” Firefighters searched the home through the dense smoke to confirm no one was inside and had the fire under control at 2:05 p.m. One person was assessed by paramedics but was not taken to hospital, the Ottawa Paramedic Service said.
