The City of Ottawa needs to do a better job of delivering the foundational services that a municipality should be providing.

When people ask how my first couple of years as a city councillor have been, I always say that I can’t imagine having a stranger start. I was elected through a byelection during the first wave of the pandemic. I entered public life on a commitment to bringing a spirit of collaboration and responsiveness to my role as your councillor. To be someone who looks for solutions, is accessible and communicates openly. I’m not only committing to continue this in my next term, this is simply who I am. We need to protect green space and agricultural land, overhaul 3-1-1, divert more waste, enhance our bilingual programming for youth and seniors, invest in parks and restructure our bus routes, so that taking transit is easy and reliable.
