Japan has come up with a way to help its many stressed out, overworked citizens.
Japan’s Itoki Corp. and Koyoju Gohan KK have partnered to release vertical “nap boxes” to help bring a healthier office culture to the country,“In Japan, there are a lot of people who will lock themselves up in the bathroom for a while, which I don’t think is healthy. It’s better to sleep in a comfortable location,” Saeko Kawashima, communications director at Itoki said, according to Bloomberg.
Itoki is a furniture specialist. Koyoju Gohan is a plywood supplier. They teamed up thanks to a business-matching event and are now designing the nap box. Pricing is not yet known and it’s unclear when they will be released. They decided to try to rescue it and Ripley’s Aquariam of Myrtle Beach stepped up and adopted Cheddar, who was named after Red Lobster’s biscuits.Article content
