Holding onto a 9-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter, the Thunderbirds scored six goals in a span of 5:43 to put the game out of reach. Knighthawks goalie Rylan Hartley was chased from the game following Bushey’s second goal at 10:27 of the fourth quarter. As the netminder passed the Halifax bench, something set him off and he went directly after the Thunderbirds’ Johnny Pearson, who was sitting on the bench. Officials eventually pulled Hartley out of the melee and assessed him a five-minute major and kicked him out of the game.
