He says “the need is great” so when he was approached about the fundraiser, he saw it as a perfect opportunity to raise money in a new way. In the past, Curtain Call has held productions in support of the then-Weeks Major Midget hockey team, Early Intervention and the Aberdeen Hospital Auxiliary. He notes that the Fuel Fund is lucky to receive donations from so many generous individuals and groups, but because the demand and costs have increased, different ways of raising money are being explored.
