He managed to avoid sleeping on the streets for a large part of it, being offered somewhere to sleep in his friend's car showroom, as well as another friend's black cab. He would drive him around in the cab until six o'clock in the morning, ensuring he had a place to keep warm and stay safe throughout the night.
"When you get to the top [of Preston Docks] there's a square thing where people park their cars from McDonald's to eat and people there were like, 'Hey Rock, what you doing?' It was so embarrassing, I was like no way." However, Rock was offered a room on that very same day and has been thriving ever since. Now, he is a Responsible Companion, meaning he looks after and is responsible for other people in the centre.
