In brief statement published by the club on their official website, Stellies announced that their second round tie against The Brazilians will now be played at the Athlone Stadium."Supporters planning to attend this weekend’s DStv Premiership encounter between Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns are requested to note that the fixture will now be played at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town," the statement reads.
The 15:00 kick-off for the encounter initially scheduled will remain in effect, with it being customary that all penultimate and last fixtures of the season start at the same time.Supporters planning to attend this weekend’s DStv Premiership encounter between Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns are requested to note that the fixture will now be played at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town
"Stellenbosch FC will play host to the newly-crowned 2023-24 DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon in what will be the club’s penultimate match of the domestic campaign. "The highly-anticipated fixture, which will be the second meeting between the two sides this month, will not be played in Stellenbosch, however, and will instead be hosted at Athlone Stadium in Cape TownFor 14 free days, you can have access to the best from Soccer Laduma, KickOff, Daily Sun, TrueLove and Drum. Thereafter you will be billed R29 per month. You can cancel anytime and if you cancel within 14 days you won't be billed.
