Halftime❗️ Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs entered the halftime break with the score level at 1-1 after a lively first half. SLSiya MORE:
Chiefs made two changes from their defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns, as Tebogo Potsane and Mduduzi Mdantsane were handed their first starts of the season.
However, Amakhosi went behind on 24 minutes after Marc van Heerden headed in a cross from a corner situation that was parried away by goalkeeper Brandon Petersen but the ball was deemed to have crossed the line by the assistant referee. The game opened from end to end towards the end of the first stanza but both sides could not utilize their chances in the box and went to the half-time break level pegging.
With the game on the edge, Ntseki eventually made a double attacking change in the last 20 minutes, as Ranga Chivaviro and Christian Saile replaced Potsane and Mmodi, while the Citizens also refreshed their attack ten minutes later as Jo Paciencia came on for Khanyisa Mayo while Thabo Nodada replaced Taahir Goedeman in midfield.
