A new"winter hideaway" in the Scottish Highlands has just launched, and it looks like the perfect spot for a cosy autumn or winter getaway.at Unapool in the far north of the country is available for private hire. From November until March 31 next year, groups of up to 14 people and their four-legged friends can stay at the scenic retreat — and can even book a private chef.
Situated near the iconic Kylesku Bridge, Newton Lodge is home to a snug fireplace and is surrounded by spectacular scenery. The lodge overlooks the magnificent Quinag mountain, as well as the Assynt mountain range and Loch Glencoul.getaway or keen for a wintery holiday with friends, the luxurious retreat is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. It features seven en-suite bedrooms — including four double rooms and three twin or super king rooms — a spacious lounge, a catering-style kitchen, and a dining conservatory.
Newton Lodge also benefits from a small library, table tennis and pool table, selection of board games, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a 16-inch record player for guests to listen to vinyl records. As well as the option of booking a private, visitors can choose a full self-catering experience or half-board at the nearby Kylesku Hotel.
From the most northerly reindeer in the UK to the breathtakingly beautiful North West Highlands UNESCO Global Geopark, the far north Highlands offers a winter wonderland filled with seasonal magic. This unique and wild region also provides some of the best opportunities to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights in the UK, as well as secluded beach walks, quiet woodland trails, and winter wildlife spotting.
