Nelson Mandela Bay narrowly misses grant cuts by National Treasury with passing of 2024/25 budget
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality escaped losing grant funding from National Treasury by the skin of its teeth on Wednesday when the 2024/25 budget was finally passed, almost a month overdue.
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana previously warned the metro it risked losing grant funding if the total budget was not completely allocated before the end of the current financial year on Sunday.
