The DStv Premiership outfit will be hoping to better last season's showing after they were eliminated by Maritzburg United at this stage.
Sekhukhune come into this clash winless in their last four matches, where they have also failed to score a single goal. Rovers, meanwhile, will be making their debut in the competition after defeating Cape Town Spurs on penalties in the qualifying round in December. The GladAfrica Championship side are making their debut in the competition and will be looking to cause an upset just as University of Pretoria and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila did last week.
Sekhukhune were also busy in the transfer market last month after signing Justin Shonga, Luckyboy Mokoena and Evans Rusike.
