Massachusetts Police Arrest Two Following Separate ShootingsPolice in western Massachusetts have made two arrests following separate shootings in the city of Holyoke. The Holyoke Police Department announced the arrests Saturday. Victor Diaz-Torres, a 23-year-old Holyoke resident, was arraigned Friday on a charge of murder in connection with a fatal shooting on Sept. 3 that killed 25-year-old Alex Larkin. In the second case, 35-year-old Angel Velez of Springfield was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday on a charge of murder stemming from a deadly shooting on Thursday. The victim in that shooting was identified as 40-year-old Kevin Ventulett. It was unclear on Saturday whether either defendant was represented by an attorney.
