Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with Gaston Sirino since he left Sundowns and now Nabi has given his thoughts on the striker.
The 33-year-old Uruguayan has been a free agent since leaving Mamelodi Sundowns a month ago. The striker has been reportedly training on his own as he looks for another club. The striker moved to South Africa in 2018 where he enjoyed success under Pitso Mosimane and Rulani Mokwena.
With Kaizer Chiefs having made three signings, Nabi was asked if there was space for Sirino in his squad. The Tunisian tactician took over at Amakhosi last month following his tenure in Morocco. He coached his first match in South Africa when Chiefs lost 4-0 to Young Africans this past Sunday in Bloemfontein. Speaking of signings, Nabi admitted the club still needed a few quality players.
“I’m very happy that I’ve got two new signings. They are needed in the team most. Definitely, I do respect what the office has offered with the recruitments. However, the team still needs certain players from certain positions that will meet the expectations of Kaizer Chiefs, “he said on“The fans also need to know that this is not a quick transformation for the club to be strong. We will definitely be signing players that I will not mention, but they are in line.
“And the club has made some errors in signing players that were not needed. Players that were not the quality of Kaizer Chiefs. We need to be careful with the calibre of players we choose to meet the expectations.”Where should Gaston Sirino go next?
