Information and privacy commissioner Michael Harvey. - SaltWire Network File PhotoST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The province's information and privacy commissioner is airing concern about what he says is a pattern of missed deadlines by public bodies responding to access to information requests.

The issue came before the privacy commissioner after his office recieved two complaints of missed deadlines for access to information requests made to the Department of Environment in March and May. Regarding the second complaint, Harvey said the department has yet to provide the records and has not indicated when the complainant might receive them, despite receiving the request on May 2.
