Lil Tay has said that she’s alive and that her account was hacked, in the latest twist on the fate of the social media star
In a statement given to TMZ, she said: “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours.
“My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong”, she added.The influencer thanked Meta for helping her to get her Instagram account back. The original statement has now been removed from her page.poured in on Wednesday after her family claimed she had “unexpectedly” died, amid a growing mystery over her whereabouts- but police had no record of her death.
The statement said “the sudden and tragic passing” was being investigated, but police told reporters they had no record of Lil Tay’s death. The videos sparked concerns that she was being pressured into performing by her family. But she dismissed the claims during an interview with“That’s not true that [my mother] wants to make money off of me,” Tay, then about nine years old, said as she appeared on the show alongside her estate agent mother, Angela Tian.https://www.instagram.com/p/BiLUJTBj5lX/
