Rapper Lil Tay, 14, confirms she and her brother are alive after huge social media hoax
Rapper Lil Tay, aged 14, has been found alive today, Thursday 10 August, despite an emotional statement from what appeared to be her family confirming her death only a day before.
"It’s been a very traumatising 24 hours," the teenager went on, explaining that she was "bombarded" with messages and calls from loved ones all day. "My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumours regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong.The now-false statement began: "It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire's sudden and tragic passing.
"Her brother's passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief," the message continued, claiming that Jason had died at the age of 21.
