Acton mum wants social housing suppliers to take complaints about mould and damp seriously following the death of Awaab Ishak
BLACK MOULD: Ms Pond says the mould continues to come back after the housing association “white wash” the walls Ms Pond claims she has sent pictures of her baby sleeping the bedroom with the black mould to her housing association and “they are not doing anything about it.”She said sleeping with her windows open is impossible during winter with young children and a baby.
She said: “I constantly have to keep going in circles about the same thing year in, year out, and I haven’t been getting anywhere because I’m still in the same predicament.”“I feel guilty with my children having to live in a property like this because no matter how much decorating and repairing I do it always feels incomplete.“After a couple of years of decorating, my home got to a certain standard that I was happy with and then different things as well as the mould occurred.
Ms Pond said after revealing her plight to family and friends they told her to contact the housing association to get the problems fixed.
