The local authority shared Paul Black's video and warned locals of the dangers of skating on unstable ice

Glasgow City Council have issued a warning for residents not to skate on Queen's Park pond after a comedian's video went viral.

Glasgow comedian Paul Black, who is well-known across the city for his viral videos, shared a TikTok video about the sharp drop in temperatures causing the pond to begin to freeze over, and went on a rant about skaters who had taken to the pond in previous years.

GCC quickly took to Twitter, sharing Paul's video and warning: "As much as it's tempting, do not skate, attempt to cross, walk or play on ponds, or any frozen bodies of water. No matter how solid it might look, you have no idea how unstable it actually is.Just last year a 12-year-old boy fell through the ice on the pond, although he was thankfully uninjured.
