Green MSP Ross Greer wrote to West Dunbartonshire Council leader Martin Rooney, as well as SNP group leader Councillor Karen Murray Conaghan and the Community Party’s Jim Bollan - urging them to publicly oppose plans for the Lomond Banks resort.
A campaigning MSP has called on West Dunbartonshire Council to object to £40million plans for a tourism resort in Balloch.
Original plans were withdrawn at the 11th hour in 2019 by development chiefs, with WDC having agreed a unanimous motion of opposition. He said: “Flamingo Land are offering nothing but disaster for the climate, more congestion for local roads and an irreversible scar on our world-famous local landscape.
