Spider mating season is upon us
Fans of famous cleaner and social media influencer Mrs Hinch have shared an effective tip that helps prevent spiders from entering your home. Spider mating season is now upon us, meaning Brits are more likely to see the creepy crawlies in their homes from now until mid-October.
“I keep putting them far away outside but every day there is another one. Help. How do I get rid of them?” The post received more than 130 comments from Mrs Hinch fans, however, the most suggested solution was to use peppermint either in oil or tea form. Allison Gibb Annand replied: "Buy a bottle of peppermint oil. Put a teaspoon full into a spray bottle of water and shake to mix. Spray round door and window frames. They won't come in past it." Emma Matthews agreed and said: "Peppermint oil they don't like it. I spray around doors and windows."
ASDA Peppermint Tea 40 Bags cost £1 which works out at just under 3p per tea bag. Waitrose Peppermint Infusion 20 Tea Bags also cost £1.
