Montgomery Humane Society is offering an adoption fee discount for dogs 25 pounds and up.
The discount is for dogs 25 pounds and over.Published: Mar. 7, 2024 at 4:45 PM CSTMONTGOMERY, Ala. - If you’re looking for a furry friend, now may be the time to act. The Montgomery Humane Society is seeing an abundance of dogs up for adoption, and they have started a promotion to help the cause.
To help encourage adoption, they have cut the adoption fee for dogs over 25 pounds by 75%, from $100 to $25. Humane society officials say that they have 52 spaces that are all currently full. Once you adopt a dog, not only are you giving them a home, but it also gives a stray a chance to be placed at the humane society.
“They all come spayed, neutered, and microchipped,” Montgomery Humane Society Executive Director Steven Tears explained. “You have to do your vet visit and keep them on heartworm prevention, and you’re done.”“Every foster saves three lives, so we’re looking for foster families. We’ll do all the marketing,” Tears said.
