In a moment that will be debated for years to come, Orlando Pirates took advantage of the referee waving play-on after a foul to beat Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8 final at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

In a moment that will be debated for years to come, Pirates took advantage of the referee allowing a quick free-kick after a foul on Patrick Maswanganyi and Tshegofatso Mabasa was quick to react as he found space in the Stellies box before rifling the ball into the back of the net. Lehlohonolo Mojela scored a stunning goal to open the scoring in the 12th minute. With some sloppy Pirates defence allowing a long throw-in to bounce in their box, Mojela put in an acrobatic bicycle kick which rocketed into the back of the net to stun Pirates .
