Stellenbosch will be making their first-ever appearance in the final having been founded in 2016. Since then, the only trophy the club’s ever won was last season’s Carling Knockout Cup.Stellies, on the other hand, will be licking their wounds after losing their league opener against Golden Arrows. Due to the unavailability of stadiums in the Western Cape, Stellenbosch played a number of their home games, including their semi-final win over Sundowns, at the Moses Mabhida.
