Mngqithi issues response to unhappy Downs supporters

The man who has had a tempestuous start to his new job, Manqoba Mngqithi, has issued a response to sections of unhappy Mamelodi Sundowns supporters following the team's poor start to the season.The results have piled pressure and scrutiny on new head coach Mngqithi – who took over the reins from Rulani Mokwena ahead of the new season.
"I don’t even have social media, so I can’t answer on something that I don’t even see," Mngqithi said when asked about what he’s made of the recent comments by some supporters. "One thing I know is that when you are the leader of a pack, it’s always important to try to move your ears away from the crowd and focus on what you are doing because as it is, I don’t think there is any reason for anyone to believe that I cannot coach Sundowns.
