The inquest into the death of Olivier Bruneau had its final day of testimony, as a civilian jury is set to commence deliberations.

The inquest previously heard from Claridge project manager Ryan Tuttle and site superintendent Mike Lwow, who each testified separately that they believed the other man was in charge of the complex project, which involved a 30-metre excavation — one of the deepest in Canada — and was beset by numerous issues and complaints from workers over falling ice.
The ministry inspector, Brent Tureski, testified earlier that he did not issue any orders related to the ice buildup, but also that he understood there were ongoing efforts to remove the ice with high-pressure hot water. The inquest heard the contract with Clean Water Works to remove the ice was cancelled in late February.
