The province’s tourism minister and MHA for Carbonear-Trinity-Bay de Verde is taking some time away from the job after undergoing emergency surgery on the weekend.
Steve Crocker says he is recovering well and offers his thanks to the dedicated health care professionals who provided his care. Crocker’s staff will provide assistance for constituents during what he expects to be a full recovery. In the meantime, Premier Andrew Furey says Sarah Stoodley will assist with Crocker’s ministerial duties during his recovery, while John Hogan will assume the responsibility of Government House Leader.
