A recent change in the energy price cap could have caused a discrepancy with your energy Direct Debit bills
Martin Lewis has warned that people who pay for their energy by direct debit could be being overcharged.
The moneysavingexpert website highlighted that this should only apply to standard tariffs and not fixed ones. "Those are really good evidence when you're going to go in and tell them to lower your direct debit. If it's too high you have a right under the energy company's licence conditions to a fair direct debit.
