In custody since their arrests in May 2013, the pair now have 15 years to go before they can make their first attempt at release.
For years, the Millard and Smich appeals have been in the works, with this week set aside for the Babcock convictions first, followed by Bosma and then Wayne Millard — all before the same three-judge panel. “I don’t have the expertise. I’m not actually a lawyer,” he said via video from a room at the Millhaven Institution.
