The exit door is certainly open at Old Trafford, with the club having confirmed that a number of first-team players, including Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba and Juan Mata, will leave the Theatre of Dreams when their contracts expire at the end of this month.
Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic will also make be making a departure from the Red Devils, ending his five-year association with the English outfit.reporting that Mourinho is set to sign the midfielder for the third time after previously recruiting him at both Chelsea and United.The 33-year-old is said to have agreed a one-year deal with the Serie A club, with an option for a further year depending on appearances.
Last month, when it was confirmed that Matic would not extend his stay at United and that he would leave as a free agent, the Portuguese boss remained coy when asked about the possibility of signing the player for the Giallorossi.
