Preparations underway for Man City parade as police tell fans to 'remain vigilant'
Preparations are underway in Manchester city centre ahead of Manchester City's Treble parade tonight.
Thousands of fans are expected to line the streets in the city centre between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. Gates open for the parade stage show at 5pm, with a huge banner reading 'TREBLE WINNERS' put in place this afternoon.The parade will start on Deansgate before turning onto St Mary Gate, Cross Street, King Street, Brown Street, Booth Street, Nicholas Street, George Street before ending on Princess Street near St Peter’s Square. A number of road closures will be in place.
Superintendent Gareth Parkin, from GMP's City of Manchester district , said: “The Man City victory parade will attract thousands of supporters into the city centre to celebrate club’s triumphant season after winning the European Cup for the first time ever.
