Emergency crews were scrambled to George Street in Paisley on Monday morning.
A man has been arrested and charged after several homes were evacuated following a number of allegedly "suspicious items" being discovered.
Cops confirmed specialist resources were then called to the scene to assess the items. The force said there was no threat to the public, reports Glasgow Live. A statement from Police Scotland reads: "A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged after emergency services were called to George Street in Paisley following a report of a car on fire around 8.15am on Monday, 2 September, 2024.
