A man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a home in Nanoose Bay and sexually assaulting a resident, say Oceanside RCMP. Mounties were called to a home at about 5:15 a.m. on July 30 after receiving a call.

A man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a home in Nanoose Bay and sexually assaulting a resident, say Oceanside RCMP.A 29-year-old male suspect was located and arrested at 11 a.m., RCMP said in a statement. He was later released on bail with conditions.

Oceanside RCMP said the investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information who have not yet spoken to police to call 250-248-6111, quoting file No. 2022-7268.
