The RCMP says a 72-year-old man was killed on Veterans Memorial Highway near Harbour Grace when one vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head-on with another. Two more people were sent to hospital with injuries.
RCMP is investigating a fatal crash on the Veterans Memorial Highway near Harbour Grace Tuesday, Jan. 17. - CONTRIBUTEDHARBOUR GRACE, N.L. — A 72-year-old man is dead following a head-on crash on the Veterans Memorial Highway near Harbour Grace Tuesday.
Harbour Grace RCMP received a report of the collision involving two SUVs around 3:30 p.m. Police said one vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head-on with the other. A man and woman from one vehicle were taken from the scene by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.An RCMP traffic reconstructionist attended the scene, and the chief medical examiner's office is engaged in the ongoing investigation.
