A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car on the A725, Kingsway in East Kilbride, police have confirmed on Saturday.
The incident happened around 8.30pm Friday, September 23, on the northbound carriageway between the White Moss and Whirlies roundabouts. . Emergency services attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been made aware. The 40-year-old male driver was uninjured. He has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing.Sergeant Andy Currie, of Police Scotland ’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances which led to this incident.
