It will be shut for a few days
An Aldi supermarket in Notts is set to close later this month for a refurbishment. The store, in Mansfield Road, Daybrook won't be closed for long though.
The revamp will be carried out in just four days. The shop will close on Saturday March 18 at 8pm and reopen on Thursday, March 23, at 8am. One customer said: "I hope you're getting self service tills." Another said: "About time too! It feels so old in comparison to the others in the area now." While closed shoppers are advised they can shop at other Aldi stores in Mapperley, Basford and Top Valley. Aldi, now the UK's fourth biggest supermarket, recently announced its biggest ever apprenticeship recruitment drive.
The company is looking to take on 500 apprentices with opportunities in stores, logistics, buying and as well as for HGV drivers.
