The two local authorities announced that a public fireworks display will be held at Strathclyde Park on Sunday, November 5. A bonfire situated in the middle of the lake in Strathclyde Park will be lit at 5:30pm.South and North Lanarkshire councils will jointly stage a public fireworks display in Strathclyde Park on the evening of Sunday 5 November.

However, parking will be available at Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds, Low Parks Museum, the overflow car park at the rear of Aldi in the retail park, and at Keith Street and High Patrick Street.Booth added: “The event is expected to be very busy and we would advise anyone coming along to arrive early and enjoy the food outlets and the bonfire.

"If possible, travel by public transport or park further away and walk as there is limited parking in the park itself."Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
