first reported on Thursday that cabinet documents, filed in Federal Court, show that the PM’s national security advisor, Jody Thomas, said a deal was possible. That was at the cabinet meeting called on Sunday, Feb. 13, at 8:30 p.m., where the decision to invoke the Emergencies Act was made.“This is about keeping Canadians safe,” Trudeau said.

We’re told those talks were unsuccessful and that’s why the Emergencies Act was invoked.
His supporters wanted the convoy punished and that’s what he gave them. Freezing bank accounts and credit cards, arrests and the seizing of property, the heavy hand of the law is what they wanted and what they got.
