Was Eby crowned king on May 6 or was it Charles?
Forestry industry needs to feel welcomeAt a time when the federal government is giving Volkswagen up to $13 billion to come to Ontario and build car batteries, Premier David Eby is trying his hardest to drive our province’s forestry companies away. This is both ironic and short-sighted.
Anyone who has actually grown up locally knows that there is a significant amount of the great outdoors easily accessible by public transit since the 1940s. I was a skier. Skiing requires a lot of equipment and it’s a lot easier to drive, but on more than one occasion, in the early 1980s a few of us would board a bus in our ski boots, carrying skis and poles, in Coquitlam. The bus would take us to the Kootenay Loop, across to Phibbs Exchange, where a bus would take us to the gondola at Grouse Mountain. In my 20s, I’d take the SkyTrain and SeaBus.
