BUILD A NEW HOUSE
Re “24 Sussex being stripped bare – with no plan to fix it” : After seeing your story on the sad state of 24 Sussex Drive, I had a few thoughts on the situation. Maybe it’s time to put our Canadian heads together and come up with a plan to create a building that as a country we could be proud of, and also enjoy showing off to visiting dignitaries. We could start by sending in Mike Holmes and team to determine if it is cost effective to repair. From what I’ve heard, it is not.
The committee would judge the winner and suggest any modifications as necessary to satisfy political requirements. After the final design is chosen, we could then approach the following individuals to ask their participation in building the final selection. There are some great Canadian choices for this project, including Drew and Jonathan Scott, Bryan Baeumler, Mike Holmes and Scott McGillivray.
